Pebbles Beach  (just Minute's Walk away)

A favorite with both locals and visitors, Pebbles Beach is a little more lively and just as lovely. Sea turtles often swim close to shore, and early mornings here are magical racehorses from the nearby Garrison come down for a dip in the sea.

Brownes Beach (3-Minute Walk)

Carlisle Bay  (3-Minute Walk)

Technically, Brownes and Pebbles are part of Carlisle Bay, which is also a protected marine park. That means great snorkeling with shipwrecks, tropical fish, and even rays and turtles.

Accra Beach / Rockley Beach (10-Minute Drive)

Drill Hall Beach (7-Minute Walk)

Quiet and more off-the-radar, Drill Hall Beach is great for a sunset stroll or catching some waves. It’s not the best for swimming, but perfect if you like space and scenery.

George Washington House & Barbados Museum

Did you know Barbados is the only place George Washington ever visited outside the U.S.? In 1751, he stayed in what’s now called the George Washington House, just a short walk from Island Inn.

George Washington House

A preserved 18th-century residence.

Just a short stroll from Island Inn, you can walk in the footsteps of America’s first president Barbados is the only country George Washington ever visited outside the United States.
